Where's the leadership?

Where is the leadership? With everyone's agenda to be re-elected, leadership is absent in Washington. There are some things in our wonderful Country that are broken. Everyone knows it. Entitlements. Journalism. Healthcare. Banking. Mortgage Industry. The war on drugs. The justice system. They are all broke. Everyone knows it.

The republicans want us to believe we don't need to change anything... just keep government small and keep taxes low for business. The democrats want us to believe Government can fix anything. I'd ask what's in between, but there is nothing in between. Everyone is factionalized. We all listen to the news and read the sources that reinforce what we already believe. We don't disagree, we go straight to hating anyone with a differing opinion.

Leadership is not these Washington wise guys who are quitting. It would look like taking a stand and saying something like... look, I believe in my position and I am willing to let the people decide whether to reelect me or not. If not, throw me out.

I'd like Obama to say that. Say, "I believe the right thing to do is to fix healthcare... and if you disagree... throw me out." I'd like to see some Senators and Congressmen and women say the same thing. Put it on the line. Take bold steps and do what's necessary. If we gotta raise taxes, so be it. If we got to cut programs, so be it. It's clear we need to do one or the other.

We need leadership. We need courage. We need innovation.

We need a lot less opinion masquerading as news!!
