Why I joined BestIn

Hi All, my name is Bob Schott and I own the www.BestInStPetersburg.com, FL site.

This is what I realized and why I decided to become a part of the 'Best In' family.

The full promise of the internet in one aspect is being manifested today right in front of us. The early killer app was email. Its debatable whether or not the internet would have taken off like it did without email and all its advantages both personal and business, but it certainly was a major sourch of fuel.

Sites like 'myspace' and 'facebook' have raised the communication bar and opened a whole new feature of the internet to us that has taken off like wildfire. It is now possible to have an ongoing conversation on a national level. And you can also have that conversation within certain defined groups. With over 150 million users and growing Facebook certainly has hit the nail on the head. They have given us something we all crave and most likely need in a very fundamental way.

So I am thinking about this and I am trying to see the why of it all and the obvious truth flashed up. Its the conversation. I think back to my college days, psychology 101, first page, first sentence, "Man is a social animal."
It is hard wired into each of us to be in on this constant 'conversation' with others. Whatever facilitates this conversation along will prosper.

A lot of the time when things develop and evolve they start small and grow. This conversation I am talking about started huge and got bigger, in a matter of a few years it exploded. There basically was no small.

With internet and cms giving us the opportunity to join in a national conversation it occurred to me that maybe the reverse in growth size will be happening. There will be an opportunity to open a local conversation too.

I became a part of the 'Best In' family to join in on that conversation, to be apart of a viable venture from the ground floor that when nurtured correctly will become a valuble commodity in the virtual real estate of every owners city or town.
